1. Service Description
blend2web ("we", "us", "our") converts Blender .blend files into hosted 3D web viewers accessible via a shareable URL. Uploaded files are processed and stored on Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure. The service is provided on an "as is" basis.
Technical limits — including maximum file size, accepted file formats, and processing time — are set by us and may be adjusted at any time. Credits remain valid after any such change, but files must comply with the limits in effect at the time of upload. We are not liable for uploads that fail due to technical limits.
Processing time limit: Conversions that exceed 2 minutes are automatically terminated and treated as failed. Files with high polygon counts, unresolved modifiers, particle systems, or other computationally intensive elements may exceed this limit. It is your responsibility to optimise your file before uploading. No credit is charged for timed-out conversions.
Browser requirements: The upload tool and 3D viewer require a modern web browser with WebGL 2.0 support. Compatible browsers include current versions of Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, and Apple Safari (version 15 or later). Older browsers, browser extensions that disable WebGL, and certain privacy or security configurations may prevent the viewer from functioning correctly. It is your responsibility to verify that your browser meets these requirements before purchasing credits. We recommend using the one complimentary credit made available to new accounts to test compatibility with your browser and device prior to any purchase.
2. Credits & Payments
Credits are sold in packs of 10 for $9.99 USD. One credit is required to upload a file. A credit is deducted only after successful conversion — if conversion fails for any reason, no credit is consumed. Each successfully converted file is hosted for 1 year from the date of upload.
- All payments are processed securely by Stripe. blend2web does not store card details.
- Credits do not expire for as long as the service remains active.
- The 1-year hosting clock starts at the time conversion completes, not when the pack is purchased.
- Credits are consumed permanently upon successful file conversion. A credit cannot be transferred from one file to another, reclaimed if a file is unpublished, or reallocated under any circumstances. Once applied, the credit is spent.
3. No Refund Policy
All credit pack purchases are final — no refunds, full or partial, will be issued under any circumstances. Credits are deducted only after a file is successfully converted; if conversion fails, no credit is consumed and you may retry.
- Unused credits from a pack are not exchangeable for cash or other services.
- Unpublishing a file does not restore or refund the credit used to upload it.
- If you believe a charge was made in error, contact us at hello@blend2web.com within 7 days of purchase and we will review the case at our sole discretion.
4. Hosted File Expiry
- Files are hosted for 1 year from the date conversion completes. After expiry, the viewer URL will show a "link expired" message.
- Jobs that fail to convert are retained for up to 2 days and then automatically deleted. No credit is consumed for failed conversions.
- You are responsible for retaining your own copy of the original
.blend file. We do not guarantee recovery of files after deletion.
5. AWS Infrastructure Dependency & Service Disruptions
blend2web is built on Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud infrastructure. Service availability is subject to AWS platform availability and their service level agreements.
- We are not liable for any interruption, degradation, or loss of service caused by AWS outages, maintenance events, region failures, or changes to AWS services.
- In the event of extended service disruption caused by infrastructure failure beyond our control, we will make reasonable efforts to restore access but cannot guarantee continuity.
- Hosted file URLs may become temporarily or permanently inaccessible due to AWS infrastructure events. blend2web accepts no liability for resulting loss of access, data, or revenue.
- Credits will not be refunded or extended as a result of service disruptions caused by third-party infrastructure.
6. Acceptable Use
- You may only upload files you own or have the right to distribute. Do not upload files containing illegal content, malware, content that infringes third-party intellectual property, or any content that is obscene, sexually explicit, or otherwise inappropriate for a general audience.
- We reserve the right to remove files that violate these terms without notice or refund.
- Automated bulk uploads, scraping, or abuse of the API is prohibited.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, blend2web and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, revenue, or business, arising from your use of or inability to use the service — even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific credit pack giving rise to the claim.
9. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when changes are made.
